Our commitment

Alpha Physical Therapy is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We want every patient to be able to learn about our care and request an appointment here, regardless of ability.

Conformance target

We aim to meet Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, the standard used by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Section 504 rule and widely referenced in ADA Title III accessibility cases. This is a target we actively work toward, not a claim that every page is perfect.

Measures we’ve taken

• A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight to the main content on every page.
• Every photo has meaningful alternative text describing what it actually shows; decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technology so they don’t add noise.
• Every form field has a real, programmatically associated label, and validation errors are announced to assistive technology, not shown by color alone.
• Every page works with a keyboard alone: menus, the FAQ accordion, the body map, the patient story carousel, and both forms.
• A visible focus outline appears on every interactive element as you tab through the page.
• Animations and auto-advancing content respect your operating system’s "reduce motion" setting, and the page's core content remains visible and readable even if a visitor's browser has JavaScript turned off.
• Text and background colors are checked against WCAG's contrast requirements.

We review this site's accessibility on an ongoing basis, including whenever we add new pages or features, and we correct issues we find or that patients report to us.

Known limitations

We believe in being upfront about what we haven’t fully verified rather than claiming a perfect record:

• Google reviews widget. The "Live From Google" reviews panel on our homepage is supplied by a third-party service (Elfsight) that we do not control. If it fails to load or isn’t accessible to your assistive technology, a direct link to our full list of reviews on Google is always shown in its place.
• Appointment request, Pain Check, and benefits-check forms. These interactive forms require JavaScript to work. If your browser has JavaScript disabled, please call us directly at (985) 326-7260 to schedule or ask about your coverage; a real person will help you right away.
