Sports rehab in Slidell.

Cleared to play is not the same as ready to play. Rehab built around your sport, your position, and where you are in the season, progressed one-on-one by a licensed physical therapist.

What It Is

Built for your sport, not a generic protocol.

Sports rehab is rehab that respects what you have to go back and do. A lineman’s shoulder and a swimmer’s shoulder are the same joint and a different problem. So the plan starts from your sport, your position, and where you sit in the season.

A clinician runs the progression, one-on-one, and it moves when your movement says it can move. If running is part of what you do, Dr. Ryan Spano, PT, DPT is certified in run analysis, so we can look at your stride instead of guessing at it.

What it is not: a printed sheet of exercises and a date circled on the calendar. It is also not a lecture about giving up your sport. We tell you what the tissue can handle now, what earns the next step, and what we still want to see before you go back.

What It Helps

Where sports rehab earns its place.

If any of these is the reason you looked us up, this is worth reading.

What A Session Looks Like

Three steps, one visit.

1

We watch you move the way you play.

2

We work on what is actually limiting it.

3

Then we load it, and you learn the next step.

Why It Works

What changes by the time you go back.

Practice without quietly pacing yourself.

Planting and cutting without thinking about it.

A stride somebody has actually looked at.

Going back knowing what earned it.

Questions, Answered

Sports rehab, no mystery.

You do not need a physician referral to start. Louisiana direct access lets you come straight to us. If you are coming off surgery, we work alongside your surgeon and follow their restrictions, and we confirm anything your plan requires during your benefits check.

The endpoint is different, so the plan is different. Walking without pain is where we start, not where we stop. Your plan is built around your sport, your position and your season, and progressed one-on-one by a licensed physical therapist. If you run, Dr. Ryan Spano, PT, DPT is certified in run analysis.

You get that answer at your evaluation, once we have seen you move. The plan runs in four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, and each one has a job and a way to know you have earned the next. Nobody hands you a number before they have watched you play your position.

We check your benefits before the first visit, and a Good Faith Estimate is available if you are paying yourself. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, TRICARE, TriWest and Peoples Health, plus workers’ compensation and auto accident claims. Call us at (985) 326-7260 with the card in your hand.
