Physical Therapist (PT, DPT)
Your own caseload at one clinic in Slidell, an hour with each patient, and no productivity quota to chase. Here is the honest version of the job.
The job, plainly
You carry your own caseload at one clinic on Front St in Slidell. You evaluate, you write the plan, and then you are the one who treats it, one-on-one. There is no productivity quota and no stacking patients on top of each other to hit a visit number.
The caseload is broad: backs and necks, shoulders, hips and knees, work injuries, post-surgical rehab, vestibular cases. An athlete and a retiree in the same afternoon.
Hands-on treatment is the backbone of how we practise. Dr. Ryan Spano’s doctorate carried a manual therapy concentration and he is a WorkSteps testing administrator, so industrial testing and work-injury cases are part of the mix. Clinicians meet monthly for clinical education: joint mobilization, neurodynamics, exercise progression and regression, blood flow restriction.
Who it suits
Someone who likes the puzzle. You are comfortable making your own clinical calls, and you would rather talk a patient through the reasoning than hand them a printout. You still want peers to bring a stubborn case to at the end of the day.
This is a three-clinician clinic. That means your work is visible and so is your judgement. If you want somewhere to coast, this is not it.
What the role requires
- An active Louisiana physical therapist licence, or eligibility for one, which means a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
- Some experience as a physical therapist is preferred. New graduates are welcome to write to us.
- Comfort treating a wide range of ages, athletes through seniors.
- Real patient engagement skills. You have to be able to motivate somebody who is discouraged.
- Clear communication with patients and with peers.
- Comfortable working independently, and just as comfortable problem-solving out loud with the rest of the team.
- Dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented. A small clinic feels every dropped ball.
What we offer
- Base salary plus a bonus structure. Specific compensation is discussed at interview.
- Medical, dental and vision coverage.
- 401k.
- Accrued PTO and holiday pay.
- CEU reimbursement, unlimited CEUs, and a structured mentorship program.
- Schedule flexibility. Full-time or part-time can be built around your life.
Clinic hours are Monday and Wednesday 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Closed weekends.
