Spinal manipulation in Slidell.

One quick, specific movement for a spinal segment that is locked. Chosen from an exam finding, explained before it happens, and never a standing weekly appointment.

What It Is

One movement. Chosen, not scheduled.

Sometimes one segment of your spine stops moving. Those joints are built to give a small amount in every direction. When one of them quits, the segments above and below take up its slack, the muscles around it splint to protect it, and turning your head or standing up straight turns into a negotiation you run all day.

Spinal manipulation is a single quick, specific movement applied to that segment to get its motion back. It takes a second. It often makes a pop, which is pressure and fluid inside the joint, not a bone going back into place. What usually follows is more room to move and less guarding, and that room is the window the rest of your plan needs.

Here is what it is not. It is not a standing weekly appointment, and it is not something everybody here gets. It comes out of an exam finding: this segment, this direction, today. If your exam does not point there, we do not do it. Dr. Ryan Spano’s doctorate from the University of St. Augustine carried a concentration in manual therapy, and a real part of that training is knowing when to keep your hands off.

What It Helps

Where spinal manipulation earns its place.

If any of these is the reason you looked us up, this is worth reading.

What A Session Looks Like

Nothing happens until you say go.

1

We test the segment and the ones around it.

2

You hear what you’ll feel, then you decide.

3

One movement, a retest, then the exercise.

What Changes

What room to move actually buys you.

Checking your blind spot with your neck.

Getting out of the truck without the catch.

A morning that doesn’t start with bargaining.

Motion you can finally train, so it stays.

Questions, Answered

Spinal manipulation, no mystery.

That nerve is worth listening to, and we treat it that way. Before anything happens we screen your history and your exam for the findings that make manipulation the wrong choice, and if one turns up, we do not do it. There are other ways to get a segment moving. You hear exactly what is coming, and no is a complete answer that costs you nothing else in your plan.

No, and that idea causes a lot of unnecessary worry. The sound is pressure and fluid inside the joint, the same thing that happens when you crack a knuckle. Nothing was out and nothing got put back. What matters is whether the segment moves better and whether you can do something afterward you could not do before, so we retest. You find out in the room.

No. Manipulation is chosen from an exam finding, not booked on a schedule. If the same segment keeps locking up, the honest answer is that something around it is not holding, and repeating the same movement every week is not the fix for that. Strength and control are. That is the work that gets you an endpoint instead of a subscription.

Then you do not get it, and your plan does not stall. Manipulation is one option for a segment that is not moving. Graded joint mobilization gets to a similar place more gradually, and plenty of people go that route start to finish. Say so at your evaluation and we build around it. No one here will talk you into hands you did not ask for.
