You sit or lie down, area uncovered.
A warm light held over a sore area, used alongside your plan and never in place of it. The job is narrow: settle the irritation so hands-on work and loading are tolerable.
What It Is
Laser therapy is a handheld device that delivers light into the tissue underneath. You feel a mild warmth, or you feel nothing much at all. No needle, no medication, nothing to recover from afterward.
We use it for one purpose: settling an area that is too irritated to touch or load. When a shoulder guards against everything, the plan stalls. Bringing that irritation down opens a window where hands-on work and exercise are tolerable, and tolerable is where progress starts.
Now the part most clinics leave out. It does not heal tissue for you, it does not treat a disease, and it does not replace hands-on work or the loading that rebuilds you. It is one tool inside a plan, and if it is not changing anything for you, we say so and stop using it.
Always optional, never the whole plan

If any of these is the reason you looked us up, this is worth reading.

A calmer place to start the session.
No needle, no medication, no downtime.
One tool in a plan, not the plan.

Questions, Answered
No. You feel a mild warmth over the area, and some people feel nothing at all. There is nothing to recover from, so the session moves straight into your hands-on work and exercise. If the warmth is uncomfortable, tell us and we adjust it.
It can help settle an irritated area so hands-on work and loading become tolerable. That is the only claim we make for it. It does not heal tissue for you and it does not treat a disease, and we will not attach a percentage or a timeline to it. Anyone who does is guessing.
It is non-invasive and drug free, and we screen your history before we use it. There are areas of the body and medical situations where we choose something else instead, which is one more reason your evaluation comes first. If it is not appropriate for you, we say so.
That is not how we use it. Laser therapy belongs inside a plan built from an evaluation that looks for the cause. On its own it is a warm light on a sore spot, and six months from now the sore spot is still there. If your problem calls for it, it is part of your session.
Coverage differs by plan, and some plans do not cover it at all. We run a benefits check before your first visit and a Good Faith Estimate is available, so nothing on your bill arrives as a surprise. Questions first? Call (985) 326-7260.
