For joints, tendons, and old injuries that stopped cooperating. An evaluation that looks for the cause, then a plan with an endpoint, one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist.

What It Is

The joint, the tendon, and why it started.

Orthopedic therapy is care for the moving parts: joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and the way they share the work. Arthritis in a knee. A tendon that flares every time you use it. A shoulder that has not been the same since the fall you told nobody about.

It starts with an evaluation that looks for the cause, because the spot that hurts is often paying for something nearby that quit moving. Then hands-on work to restore what is missing, then loading so the joint can hold it. Four phases: Pain, Prime, Perform, Prevent.

What it is not: wear and tear you are supposed to live with. It is also not only for after surgery. Some people come to get strong before an operation, and some come because they want to try everything else first. Either way you leave the first visit knowing what is wrong and what the plan is.

What A Session Looks Like

Three steps, one visit.

1

We test the joint and the joints around it.

2

Hands-on work where it is actually stuck.

3

Then load it, so the relief holds.

Why It Works

What changes when the joint stops running your day.

Standing up from a chair without a plan of attack.

A night the same ache does not interrupt.

Stairs that stop being a decision.

An answer that is not just wear and tear.

Questions, Answered

Orthopedic therapy, no mystery.

No. Louisiana direct access lets you start without a physician referral. If you have had surgery, we follow your surgeon’s restrictions and keep them in the loop. If your plan happens to require a referral, we catch it during your benefits check and tell you up front.

Orthopedic therapy is the part of physical therapy aimed at bones, joints, tendons and ligaments: arthritis, tendon pain, fractures, and recovery around surgery. Dr. Ryan Spano, PT, DPT is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic Section, and his doctorate carried a concentration in manual therapy.

You get that answer at your evaluation, not as a guess over the phone. The plan runs in four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, and each one has a job and a way to know you have earned the next. That is what we mean by a plan with an endpoint.

We find out before you commit. The benefits check happens up front, and a Good Faith Estimate is available if you are paying yourself. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, TRICARE, TriWest and Peoples Health, plus workers’ compensation and auto accident claims. Call us at (985) 326-7260.
